Clinical support where the work happens
A serious incident on an industrial site can be complicated by restricted access, moving plant, hazardous areas or distance from the nearest suitable hospital. Having a clinical team on site allows assessment and treatment to begin while the wider emergency response is coordinated.

We work with your project and health and safety teams to understand the practical demands of the job. That includes the number of people on site, shift patterns, hazardous activities, access restrictions and any changes in risk as the programme progresses.
This helps us position medical resources where they are useful and identify periods when additional cover may be needed. For larger or changing sites, we can review the arrangements as working areas move or new phases begin.

Built into your emergency plan
An ambulance and crew need a clear place in the site's emergency arrangements.
Before deployment, we agree the medical response with your team, including vehicle positioning, access routes, rendezvous points and communication procedures. Where specialist rescue is required, the plan should define how the rescue team will bring the casualty to a safe place for clinical care.
We can support Medical Emergency Response Planning, including escalation arrangements and handover to attending emergency services. The plan should also address how cover will be maintained if the medical team is committed to a patient.

What is industrial ambulance cover?
Industrial ambulance cover provides a dedicated vehicle and clinical crew for a workplace or specified activity. The team assesses and treats patients, supports the site's medical response and coordinates further care where needed. The vehicle's role and any patient movement arrangements are agreed before deployment.
Do we need both a construction medic and a site ambulance?
That depends on the work, site layout and level of clinical support required. Some projects need a construction medic without a dedicated ambulance. Others need a paramedic-led team and vehicle for particular activities or throughout the working day. We explain our recommendation and what it covers.
Are your paramedics HCPC-registered?
Yes. Our paramedics are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. We check registration as part of our compliance process and agree the clinical scope, equipment and escalation arrangements for each deployment.
Can you cover a single high-risk activity?
Yes. We can arrange standby for a defined operation or work package, as well as longer deployments. Tell us the activity, expected duration and any potential for the work to overrun so we can plan the cover.
Does a site ambulance include transport to hospital?
Any transport provision must be expressly agreed in the service specification. We clarify the vehicle's role, how onward care will be arranged and when NHS ambulance support will be requested. These arrangements form part of the site's medical response plan.
