Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 May 2026
These are our default site terms. Where you book a service from us, binding terms are issued alongside your written quote and will override anything below if they conflict.
1. Definitions
“LightMed”, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Light Medical Ambulance Solutions, a company incorporated in England and Wales operating as LightMed. “Website” means https://lightmed.co.uk. “Services” means the event medical cover, first aid cover, set medic, construction-site medical and training services we provide.
2. Use of the website
By accessing the Website you agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict the use of, any third party. We may update or remove content at any time without notice.
3. Quotes and bookings
- Quotes issued through this Website or by email are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise on the quote.
- A booking is only confirmed when we issue a written booking confirmation following acceptance of the quote.
- Quotes are based on the information you provide. If event attendance, scope, duration, location or risk profile changes materially, we may revise the quote before or during delivery.
4. Cancellation and changes
Cancellation terms are set out in your written quote. As a default, for event medical bookings:
- More than 28 days before the event: deposit retained, no further charge.
- 14–28 days: 50% of the booking value payable.
- Less than 14 days: 100% of the booking value payable.
We will always try to be reasonable where cancellation is caused by factors clearly outside the organiser’s control, including weather-related cancellation by a venue or local authority.
5. Our delivery and your responsibilities
- We deliver Services in line with the medical plan agreed in your booking and applicable UK guidance, including The Purple Guide and HSE event safety guidance.
- You will give us safe site access, accurate site information, and a named event contact who is reachable during the event.
- Where you obstruct or significantly delay our access, or change the event in a way that materially raises clinical risk, we reserve the right to withdraw cover after a clearly communicated warning.
6. Insurance and liability
We hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance. Certificates are available on request. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability under any booking is limited to the fees paid by you for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events outside its reasonable control, including severe weather, power failure, civil emergency, transport disruption, or governmental action.
8. Intellectual property
The Website, including text, images and branding, is owned by LightMed or our licensors and is protected by copyright. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other use requires our written permission.
9. Data protection
How we collect and use personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Where we process patient data on event, we do so as part of safe clinical care and in line with applicable health-records guidance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
